In Vietnam, there is a big demand for wine, and there is a big supply. But there is no marketing, and there is no knowledge of wine, serving drinking, storing, etc..

There are people with money, so expensive wines can be sold there as well. But if you bring in expensive wines, and they don't know how to store, then it will be a waste. Even at Caravelle, a french  5 star hotel, their servers still lack wine training and knowledge. Expensive wines are sold at high end restaurants and hotels. I have seen wines costing up to $US 1000 per bottle.

It looks like you will be in Ho Chi Minh city most of the time, and this is a big event, so I expect many people will attend. The wines you mentioned, Pinot gris , riesling, gewurtztraminer , pinot noir... will be excellent for the VN market.
